Gladys was born on 22 January 1887 and died March 1984. She married Walter John Newham on 28/3/1921, and they had one child Neville G Newham (born 1922, died 1981). She subsequently married Frank Smith and they had three children Albert, Jean and Hazell (who moved to Australia). She had a twin brother Godfree Cecil Tricket. Her grandchildren knew her as Evelyn rather than Gladys. They thought her surname was Trickett - we don't yet know why.
