When she was born in Mayfair in 1926, Princess Elizabeth was not expected to become Monarch. However, when she was 10, her uncle King Edward VIII abdicated, making her next in line to the throne.

Birth Certificate
The Queen was born 21st April 1926 in Mayfair, London. She was the oldest child of The Duke and Duchess of York (who subsequently became King George VI and Queen Elizabeth). On 29th May 1926 she was christened Elizabeth Alexandra Mary.
Marriage Certificate
The Queen met Prince Philip in 1934. and their engagement to was officially announced 9 July 1947. They subsequently married at 10.30am on 20 November 1947 at Westminster Abbey.
Death Certificate
On 08 September 2022 this announcement was issued by Royal Communications: The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
