Lost photograph albums

Do you remember seeing photograph albums at your grandparents' or great-grandsparents' house when you were a child? Do you know what happened to them? Have any of them been lost, or you're not sure which family members they went to, or have you lost contact with the person you think has got them. Or worse, did they go to a family member who has since died and you suspect they may have been disposed of?

Do you have your own photograph albums that you will pass on to your children, but are not confident that they will be available for all your grandchildren or great-grandchildren in the years to come? Do you have key photographs in a photograph album, or in a box at home, or on a Facebook account, that you would like to pass on?

Does one of your children or grandchildren remind you of an aunt or parent you saw in a photograph when they were young. Do you wish you had that photograph to share with them?

These are common problems which My Heritage Vault gives a solution for. Note only do we provide a space for you to upload key photos to, but also the reassurance that:

  • Your photos are backed up on a regular basis so they will not be lost in the case of fire or computer error
  • We will invest a proporion of the cost into a Trust Fund to pay for yourfiles on our servers to continue to operate into future years, to guarantee that your photographs and files will continue to be available
  • Even if you do not renew your subscription at the end of the paid period, we will continue to store the files for a number of years, and you or future family can pay a fee to have the account re-opened
  • All photos and files can either be public or private
  • Unlimited family members can be added to the account (with admin, contributor or view access)

In addition to photographs, you can upload documents (e.g. cerfificates, achievements), stories, recordings and videos.
